Another slow Saturday

Another slow Saturday

I am getting used to these slow Saturdays very slowly. I start the morning with a workout or slow morning of drinking coffee and reading. I started this slow morning routine the first week of quarantine. I go out on my deck, I drink coffee and read for about an hour. No rush, nowhere to be. It feels very luxurious. I love it. I usually never finish my morning coffee. I prep it for work or pour it on a weekend and take a few sips and then I am too busy to finish it.

I am also watching the sunset on my deck daily. Before I only had time to watch a sunset maybe once a week if that. There are some good things coming out of this time.

Today marks 6 weeks of us staying home / in quarantine. During the past 6 weeks I have only gone to grocery or work or out for a hike/ walk. I had to go to my classroom twice to get supplies.

We ate take out for the first time in 42 days yesterday! I have been cooking from scratch every day! I haven't had time to do that since I was a stay at home mom.

I workout every day. I can make my own hours for working from home. So I take a lunch break for about 40 minutes and do a workout at the park while my kids play.  I am loving making my own hours. I think I was meant for working from home! I love the freedom and independence that comes with making my own schedule. I am getting eight hours of sleep every night. Last night I slept 10 hours!

Of course like any other person I am anxious too . Some nights I get chest pain and worry. I try to read fiction to help myself relax. I try to lose myself in a story so I can relax and fall asleep.

It's Saturday evening- time to cook dinner and then I think we will play a board game. We now play board games multiple times a week! There is of course lots of screen time too- movies, tv show and video games.
