Week 5
Day 35 of Quarantine
Today is Saturday April 18th 2020. Today marks 5 weeks. We have been staying home for 5 weeks. No playdates , no outings except grocery, work emergency or exercise
I have been back to work for 3 weeks now. Work is really helping me get through this. It gives me a purpose, something to do/ concentrate on all day.
Abby wants me to start blogging recipes, what we are eating. We have not been to a restaurant for 5 weeks! We usually eat out at least once a week. All home cooked meals for 5 weeks. I haven't cooked this much since I was a stay at home mom.
We have all 4 been cooking. Kyle has been doing a lot of the dinners lately.
The house is the cleanest it's ever been because we are always home and can keep up with dishes, laundry.
I have been a lot busier during the work week. I don't get much done during the week. I will start having the weekend be- clean the house, do laundry, tackle the to do list- because the weekdays fly by- work, lunch break, work, aperatif, dinner, evening walk, evening activity (tv show or board game) then I try to go to bed at 10:30ish
We rented a "new" movie last night- Trolls. Abby set up the upstairs living room like a movie theater. She made popcorn, did a drawing for VIP seating, closed all the blinds, prepped drinks for everyone. I told my dad that she is the Pollyanna of coronavirus. She is optimistic, our sunshine.
Everyone is coping through this time in different ways. Kyle has been running, listening to podcasts and cooking. He is also getting into doing sourdough, making bread. Andrew has been doing a lot of video games and reading. Abby decluttered her entire room. She has made a lot of slideshows of photos. She made a slideshow for Easter, homeschool schedule. Her latest project is starting a slime shop on Etsy. Both kids have been baking. I have been reading and walking.
