Tech

One upside to this quarantine and online teaching is that I have learned all sorts of new tech- I have a youtube channel. I now know how to use imovie! I can make a video , upload it, edit it, add pages with text before and after my video clips. My daughter Abby has taught me all of this ! Kids are amazing. Tech is so easy for them. Everything somehow just makes sense to them. I am learning how to make teaching videos. I prefer using the go pro to video. I can point the camera every which way easily. I don't like taking videos with my phone or ipad because I find it hard to edit the portrait/ landscape of the video.

I have also learned how to use zoom and use it in a teaching format.

Yesterday marked week 10 at home. We broke quarantine for the first time after week 8 for my brother's birthday. Since then we have done a few social outings. We were hitting the point of going stir crazy and we need to see friends and stay sane.

Today is Saturday. We went to Dorris Ranch and tried out their bike path. It goes along the river, beautiful view. It was nice to get out, put everyone in a better mood. Pre quarantine we would have never done that. Saturdays are usually spent going to games. Kids are getting a lot of use of their bikes right now. Life is simple. Days are now spent at home gardening, biking, walking the neighborhood and cooking. Some pluses to this time.
