Work from home utopia

Kyle and I are loving working from home. We get to sleep in some days if we don't have an early meeting. No more daily 6am /7:30am alarms going off

We both are night owls. We are loving making our own hours!

I looked at him the other night and told him that working from home is like living in a utopia- I only have to see my immediate family for the most part every day unless I have a zoom meeting. No more spending 8 hours with coworkers every day- possibly coworkers that drive you nuts. My day are filled working surrounded by my family that I love most of all.

Kyle smiled and nodded. He is enjoying the utopia work from home life too.

I think I was made for this. I don't have to work under a boss every day. I just work, do a few meetings and set my own hours.

I start my day with a run with my son. Then I jump on the computer, work til lunch, break for lunch then do a walk outside.

I work out every day, I sleep way more. In photos I look so happy and relaxed. I looked at a photo of myself pre-quarantine- my eyes looked so tired.

Right now we are also given the gift of time. I can choose when to work, when to do errands. That' another thing I don't miss- errands. I now only do very necessary errands which means I don't do many. In the past 8 weeks I have only gone to do a few errands (goodwill drop off, post office twice, grocery, got take out once) . It's so nice. I don't miss the busy, the driving , the errands, the early wake ups. We eat dinner together every night. 99.9% of our meals are home cooked. We have only gotten take out twice in 8 weeks. I am really savoring the good parts of this time.

Oregon will reopen on Monday- gyms, salons and retail.
